Job Description:

Manage the inside sales function supporting customers, sales and assigned house accounts. Assists in the management of the order input process. Reports to Operation Control Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire order process from quoting to shipment for stock and custom sales to meet required customer specs and special requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, customers, estimating and production to provide exceptional responsiveness, problem-solving and customer service.
  • Work with customers to obtain product specifications for design and make recommendations. Enter quotes and design requests in system and follow up with customers.
  • Attend production/ project review meetings as needed.
  • Monitor work in progress against manufacturing schedules to ensure timely delivery and communicate status to customers.
  • Maintain customer files and records in order entry system to ensure accuracy.
  • Occasionally make field sales calls to prospects/customers and attend work trade shows to promote company capabilities.
  • Assist in other duties as needed, including general office duties, visitor welcoming, and providing support to other Account Managers as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, BA/BS preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years customer service experience; packaging industry experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturer/distributor relationship a plus.
  • Excellent telephone skills, good math aptitude and attention to detail required.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, MS Office and Windows.
  • Ability to work in a team environment without supervision.
  • Must be able to work with various kinds of people, maintaining a professional, positive tone.
