The Folding Carton Production Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the production of folding cartons to meet customer requirements and company goals. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including sales, estimating, design, manufacturing, customer service and logistics to ensure accurate manufacturing and timely delivery of high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase order information for accuracy against quotation provided to enter the job order into the manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and verify item specifications are also entered into ERP
• Working with CAD Design, Sales, Account Managers, Quality and Estimating, gather the reference items necessary to create clear working instructions to all production departments for inclusion in the job jacket.
• Calculate the amount of paperboard and other raw materials required for production and allocate raw materials from inventory on hand. If more material is needed, notify purchasing to secure additional raw material.
• Enter production jobs from quotation in ERP system and start generation of Job Ticket.
• Attend New Business Review meetings and record all instructions provided by production managers and ensure the information is included on the Job Tickets to provide directions to the users.
• Refer to previous Job Jackets and Tickets for repeat orders and include any specific instructions generated on last run items than remain pertinent for the reorder.
• Support the plant Food Safety Initiatives and the HACCP team.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma plus 5 years Folding Carton/Packaging industry experience.
• Specific training and verified competency for the position.

Salary and Benefits -

• Full time position, $55K-$62,500K
