Job Description
Calumet Carton is a well-established packaging company, with a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We need an aggressive, confident, high energy, dynamic person, a “hunter” not a “farmer” who will be responsible for selling our full line of products to distributors and channel partners within a geographic area. Key areas include developing and executing a sales plan consistent with business strategy. This is an inside sales position with opportunity to grow your career, learn the folding carton business and advance into an outside sales role.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Effectively plan and execute sales calls to customers and distributors within assigned territory
• Schedule customer face to face meetings to present product offerings and build long-term relationships
• Proactively prospect for new business at both existing and potential customers within accounts
• Develop and manage customer relationships and broaden the number of key contacts
• Keep abreast of industry trends and understand competitors, including pricing, service, and new products
• Represent company at industry trade shows, as requested
• Assist distributors by making sales presentations to their staff
• Follow up with customers on quoted projects and sample requests
• Report back to Sales Manager on quote/order conversions, and monitor competitive pricing situations
• Maintain records of follow up and activities in CRM
• Submit weekly call reports detailing activities
• Manage expenses within budget and complete expense reports in a timely manner
• Up to 50% travel

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
• Inside or outside sales experience in folding carton or related industry preferred
• Knowledge of marketing distribution channels and distributor relationship preferred
• Knowledge of commercial offset printing processes and procedures, including computerized prepress workflow & proofing to customers a plus
• Excellent presentation & telephone skills and attention to detail required
• Able to coordinate multiple priorities and projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Office & Windows
• Ability to work in a team environment without supervision
